U2 Rules!

Sans vous refaire l'historique du mythique groupe irlandais, un petit coup de chapeaux à leurs derniers exploits: après être les premiers invités à apparaître une semaine durant sur le David Letterman Show, le maire de New York vient de rebaptiser (temporairement) une rue de New York U2 Way! Kudos!

Pour la petite histoire, il faut quand même rappeler que U2 est aussi un des rares groupes a avoir recréer en direct et en live un de leurs concerts sur Second Life, qu'un de leurs albums a été piraté avant sa sortie et diffusé sur internet en 2004 avant que leur propre maison de disque ne diffuse leur dernier album en "No One On The Horizon" en ligne avant qu'il ne soit en vente!



ENGLISH NYC's West 53rd Street briefly to become 'U2 Way'

NEW YORK (AP) — Rock band U2 is getting official recognition for its stint this week on David Letterman's show.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg is temporarily renaming part of West 53rd Street in New York City as "U2 Way" on Tuesday, the day the group's latest CD is being released.

The band is performing an unprecedented five consecutive times this week on CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman."

It's the first time a musical guest has performed a full week on the show, which is taped at The Ed Sullivan Theater near the intersection of West 53rd Street and Broadway — near the spot being renamed.

The Dublin, Ireland band has sold tens of millions of records and has taken up several political and social causes.
